How to add default text to an estimate
This article explains how to enter additional information to an estimate in FreeAgent.
An example of default text you might want to add to an estimate would be a note telling customers how long your estimates are valid for.
How to add default text
When you create or edit an estimate, select 'Set default additional text'.
Enter the text that you want to appear on the estimate in the 'Additional text' box.
Once you've entered the relevant details, select 'Save' to complete the process.
The text will appear in the 'Additional Text' box and will appear both on this estimate and each new one you create.
Changing the text on a single estimate
Edit the text in the 'Additional Text' box.
Editing the default text
As you create a new estimate or edit an existing draft one, select the 'Edit default additional text' link to edit the default additional text.
Once you've made the relevant changes, select 'Save' to complete the process.
Please note that changing the default information will overwrite any changes you have made by typing into the 'Additional Text' box for just this one estimate.
