Data security and back-up

Here's how our data security and back-up procedures ensure we take the highest standard of care with our users' information.

We take the security of customer data very seriously.

All information which passes between our servers and your computer is encrypted using high-grade 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, the same technology that banks use to protect data. As of March 2013 we are compliant with the PCI DSS SAQ-D security standard.

Our servers are hosted by The Bunker, a military-grade hosting facility with two geographically isolated data centres in the south of England. The Bunker has very tightly controlled physical security and highly resilient networking and power facilities. Resilient to even nuclear attacks, we don't think there's a safer place for us to keep our servers than The Bunker.

We go to great lengths to ensure your business data is safely stored. As well as having multiple live copies of our database available in case of failure, we also take snapshot backups of data every minute and transfer these off-site, asymmetrically encrypted, within seconds of them being taken. To give us the highest confidence in data integrity, all live data is stored using ZFS, a production-grade file system that provides the strongest protection against data corruption.

Of course, you own your data. You can export your financial figures in Excel format at any time. You can also export the following financial reports:
