Choosing a default theme for your invoices

FreeAgent has a gallery of beautifully designed invoices to choose from, so it's easy to find one that fits your brand.

You can either choose a design when you create your invoice or recurring invoice profile, or choose a default theme from our Theme Settings area. You can also create a custom theme.

Navigate to Theme Settings

Select 'Settings' from the drop-down menu in the top-right corner and then select 'Theme Settings'.

You'll see a selection of different themes. Simply choose the one you like the look of the most.

Preview your theme

Select the 'Preview' option underneath each theme to see what it looks like on a larger scale.

The preview will load for you to see.

Select the cross to make it disappear.

Make your choice

Once you've chosen your theme, select the 'Make Default' button underneath that theme.

Add a payment link to your invoices

If you’ve already connected to a payment provider in FreeAgent, you can add a payment link to your invoice PDFs by selecting ‘Add a payment link’.

If you don’t have any payment solutions enabled, connecting to Stripe or PayPal, will enable the payment link setting by default.

Which invoices and estimates will use the new theme?

Any invoices and estimates that are still in draft stage when you choose your new theme, and any new invoices and estimates that you generate after you choose your new theme, will be sent using that new theme.
