A guide to the Customer Sales report

This article explains how to access the Customer Sales report which breaks down the income you've received from your customers.

Please note that the figures shown are invoiced income, not including VAT.

Accessing the report

Navigate to the ‘Accounting’ tab at the top of the screen and select ‘Reports’ from the drop-down menu.

Select 'Customer Sales' in the ‘Breakdown’ section.

This will display your Customer Sales report. If your business is registered for VAT and using the standard scheme for VAT, the figures shown on the report will be exclusive of VAT.

Viewing the report

You can view this report in two different ways by selecting the drop-down menu:

Monthly - This breaks down the totals for each individual month over the selected accounting year.

Yearly - This view shows your total annual sales by customer, for up to three accounting years.

Sort by column

You can also select the top row of any column, to sort that column in an ascending or descending manner, depending on whether the arrow is pointing up (ascending) or down (descending).

Here we can see that our top customer in March 2020 was Fez Consulting Ltd.

Export your report

To export your Customer Sales report, select 'Export report' in the top-right and select 'CSV' from the drop-down menu to download the selected report as a .CSV file. Once downloaded, the file can be viewed and manipulated in your chosen spreadsheet software.
