Attach image files to a bank transaction on mobile
This article explains how to use the FreeAgent mobile app to attach saved image files or receipts to a bank transaction.
Please note:
- You can attach up to 50 files to a bank transaction that has been explained or is currently unexplained.
- Attaching an image file from the Files area to a bank transaction will remove it from the Files area of your FreeAgent account.
- Any file that was marked as ‘private’ will be visible to others on your account once you’ve attached it to a bank transaction.
- Any changes you make using the FreeAgent mobile app will be reflected in the desktop version of FreeAgent.
Attaching a file to a bank transaction
Tap the ‘Banking’ icon.
Next, select the relevant bank account from the list.
Click on the bank transaction you'd like to add the image file(s) to and select ‘Choose attachment’.
Select the relevant option from the menu depending on where the file(s) is stored.
Select the first file you'd like to attach to the bank transaction.
If you're attaching a file from the Smart Capture area, check the preview of the image file and select ‘Attach’ in the top-right corner.
Tap ‘Continue and attach’ to complete the process of attaching the image file to the bank transaction.
Please note that attaching an image file to a transaction will remove it from the Files area. Any file that was marked as ‘private’ will be visible to others on your account once you've attached it to a bank transaction.
If you want to add additional files to the bank transaction, select 'Add' to the right of the 'Attachments' section.
Select the relevant option from the menu depending on where the file is stored and select the next file to add.
Repeat these steps until you've added all the relevant files to the bank transaction. You can attach up to 50 files.
Once you've added the relevant file(s), select ‘Explain transaction’ at the bottom of the screen to explain the transaction.
