Delete an accounting category

This article explains how to delete an accounting category that you have created in FreeAgent.

Please note:

  • You’ll need full (level 8) access to your FreeAgent account and you can only delete an accounting category that has no entries allocated to it and isn’t locked

  • Once you’ve deleted a category, it cannot be automatically recovered and you will need to add it back manually.

Select 'Settings' from the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner of the screen and then select 'Accounting Categories'.
