Export a chart of accounts
This article explains how to export a chart of accounts in FreeAgent.
A chart of accounts contains a list of the accounting categories that are in your FreeAgent account. Accounts with numbers 001 to 599 are profit and loss accounts and accounts with numbers 600 to 999 are balance sheet accounts.
Relevant balance sheet categories will be added automatically when you create a new stock item or add a new user or bank account in FreeAgent. Capital asset codes will be visible when you record the purchase of an asset in that category.
Please note that the chart of accounts doesn't show the balances that are in your business’s accounts as these are found on a trial balance.
