Edit a contact's details
This article explains how to edit an existing contact's details in FreeAgent.
Please note:
- Editing a contact's details will only update future invoices and recurring invoices created for the contact. Existing invoices and recurring invoices will remain unchanged.
- If there are any invoices for this contact currently in 'Draft' status, you can temporarily edit the invoice to a different contact to allow you to make the changes required. Once the contact has been updated, the invoice can be re-allocated to the correct contact.
- To update an existing invoice or recurring invoice, you'll need to edit the invoice or recurring invoice profile manually.
Select the ‘Contacts’ tab at the top of the screen.
Select 'Edit' on the appropriate contact.
Alternatively, click on the contact's name and select the 'Edit Details' button.
This will bring up the 'Edit Contact' screen.
Make the appropriate changes and select 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the screen to complete the process.
