Edit a user

This article explains how to edit an existing user you've added to FreeAgent.

There are a few scenarios when you might want to edit an existing user. For example, you may need to change a user’s access level or record the fact that an employee has been appointed as a director of the company.

Please note:

  • A user with the role of 'Accountant' cannot edit a user.

  • It’s not possible to reduce the access level of a user with the role of ‘Accountant’ to below level 7.

If you want to remove a user from your FreeAgent account, find out how to delete a user.
