How to view, edit or delete a project

This article explains how to find a project that you've already set up in FreeAgent and then view, edit or delete it.

Finding the project

Navigate to the 'Work' tab at the top of the screen and select 'Projects' from the drop-down menu.

This will bring up a list of all your projects.

Viewing the project

You can choose whether to view all projects, or filter projects by status, by selecting the relevant option from the drop-down menu below 'Projects'.

Select the name of the project you would like to view.

You will then be presented with all the information relating to the project in FreeAgent. Select the tabs below the project name to view each set of details.

When you've opened a tab, select each line of content in the tab to view the details of each estimate, task, timeslip, invoice or expense.

How to edit a project

Navigate to the 'Work' tab at the top of the screen and select 'Projects' from the drop-down menu.

Choose the relevant project from the list and select 'Edit Details' to change any of the key details for the project, such as the invoice sequence.

Once you've made the relevant changes, select 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the screen.

When you create a new project, the status will default to 'Active'. You can change the status of the project to 'Completed', 'Cancelled or 'Hidden' by selecting the button on the right and choosing from the drop-down menu.

How to delete a project

Navigate to the 'Work' tab at the top of the screen and select 'Projects' from the drop-down menu.

Select the relevant project from the list and select the 'Delete Project' button in the top-right corner.

Please note that you will only be able to delete a project if it has no outstanding entries (e.g. estimates, invoices, bills, bank transactions, timeslips, expenses) against it.
