The FreeAgent mobile app contains lots of powerful features designed to help you run your business more efficiently. Read on to find out how to manage your invoices, expenses and bills, projects, banking, properties and upcoming tax deadlines, on mobile.
Please note that any changes you make using the FreeAgent mobile app will be reflected in the desktop version of FreeAgent.
Managing your invoices on the go
Create invoices for your customers using the FreeAgent mobile app to manage your invoicing whilst you’re out and about.
Automating your invoice emails
Speed up your payment collection process by letting FreeAgent automatically chase up your customers on their late payments with reminders. Then, let FreeAgent automatically send thank you notes once they’ve paid.
Save time using flexible payment integrations
Get paid faster using flexible payment integrations such as Tyl by NatWest, Stripe, GoCardless or PayPal, to make it easier for your customers to pay for your invoices.

Managing your expenses and bills on the go
Add an out of pocket expense or mileage claim using the mobile app to manage business or travel costs that were paid for using personal funds.

Speed up your expense management by using Smart Capture to create an expense or bill from a file or paper receipt.
Convert the Smart Capture to an expense or bill and FreeAgent will fill in key details like the date and amount and suggest a category and contact (if applicable).

Manage your projects whilst out and about by using the mobile app to create a new project and add any associated items such as estimates, invoices, credit notes, timeslips, expenses and mileage claims.
Managing your banking on the go
Manage your banking admin with FreeAgent’s Guess feature, and by approving and explaining bank transactions in bulk using the mobile app.
Automate your banking
Speed up your banking admin by using FreeAgent’s powerful Guess feature to automatically categorise new bank transactions.
For example, Guess might see that you typically explain Costa Coffee transactions using the ‘Accommodation and Meals’ category. If FreeAgent then detects a Costa Coffee transaction imported into your account, Guess will automatically suggest an explanation of ‘Accommodation and Meals’ to save you time.
Approving and explaining bank transactions in bulk
Transactions that Guess has correctly categorised can be approved in bulk using the mobile app to speed up the process of reconciling bank transactions.
Transactions that Guess has been unable to categorise can be explained in bulk.
Managing your properties on the go
If you have an unincorporated landlord account and rent out properties, use the FreeAgent mobile app to add your properties.
You can then record rental income for the properties and allocate costs to them, allowing you to view the profitability of your property portfolio using the mobile app.
Managing your upcoming tax deadlines on the go
Use the Tax Timeline on the mobile app to view important upcoming tax dates and payments for you and your business.
The items on the Tax Timeline will automatically update when something has been filed, marked as filed or paid off, but you can also mark an item as paid and filter the Tax Timeline using the mobile app.
