Edit your CoPilot subscription

This article explains how to edit your CoPilot subscription if you need to change or cancel your CoPilot subscription.

CoPilot is an innovative way of working with an accountant through FreeAgent to help simplify your business accounting and give you peace of mind. For an agreed monthly fee, you can choose an expert FreeAgent partner accountant who suits your business needs and then work with them directly within your FreeAgent account.

You can change your CoPilot subscription if your business circumstances change or cancel your CoPilot subscription if you no longer want to work with the CoPilot accountant.

Please note:

  • The price of CoPilot will be dependent on the services agreed with the CoPilot accountant.
     
  • Only the listed account owner can access and view information related to the CoPilot service.

Changing your CoPilot subscription

If your business circumstances change (for example, if your business becomes VAT-registered) and you need to change your CoPilot subscription, please contact your CoPilot accountant and they should be able to help.

Your accountant will then prepare a new proposal package for you to review. Please note that the new package price will replace the old package price.

Navigate to the drop-down menu under your business name and select ‘Connections & Add-ons’.

Next, select ‘Manage’ in the ‘CoPilot’ section.

You’ll see a notification that you have a new package proposal to review. Select ‘View proposal’.

If you’re happy with the new package, tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions and select ‘Accept proposal’ to accept the new CoPilot package. If you don’t agree with anything on the proposal, please speak to your accountant.

You'll see details of the new CoPilot package, which will take effect from the beginning of your next billing period, above your existing package.

Cancelling your CoPilot subscription

As per the Terms of Service, you have the option to cancel your CoPilot subscription at any time by giving us one month's (30 days') written notice. You can do this by selecting the blue ‘Help’ button at the bottom of the screen.
