Become an accredited FreeAgent Partner

This article explains how to gain FreeAgent accreditation as an accountant or bookkeeper after you’ve joined our Partner Programme.

FreeAgent’s Partner Programme offers a range of benefits and discounted pricing options, including on the cost of add-ons, that get bigger and better as the number of active licences on your Practice Dashboard increases.

You’ll become a FreeAgent Partner when you add your first client to your Practice Dashboard, but to gain your FreeAgent accreditation, you’ll then need to complete the FreeAgent Essentials learning module on our Practice Portal.

This module has been specially designed to help you learn the FreeAgent basics and feel confident about adding clients to your Practice Dashboard, setting up and managing their accounts and helping them understand how to use the software. It consists of six short videos and an accompanying PDF, plus a multiple-choice, open-book exam.

When you pass the exam, you’ll become accredited and gain access to the following benefits:

  • A listing in our directory, which is viewed over 40,000 times every year by people looking for FreeAgent-accredited accountants and bookkeepers.
  • A digital FreeAgent accreditation badge, which you can add to your website and email signature to show your credentials off to your clients and prospects.

Completing the FreeAgent Essentials module gives you accredited status for one year. From then on, you can remain accredited and stay up to date with the latest FreeAgent functionality by completing our yearly Accreditation module.

You’ll find the FreeAgent Essentials and Accreditation learning modules in the learning and accreditation area on the Practice Portal. This area also contains modules that you can complete to increase your knowledge of specialist functionality including tax, payroll and the FreeAgent mobile app.

If you’re not yet a FreeAgent Partner, you can find out more about the benefits of accreditation by visiting our Partner Programme page.
