Demo accounts

When you become a FreeAgent Practice Partner and log into your Practice Dashboard, you will have access to some demo accounts. These can be populated with accounting data so you can take a look around an example of an account and even show this to a client.

Please note:

  • Demo accounts are free and not included in your Practice’s billing.
     
  • Demo accounts are not ‘live’ accounts and cannot be used to submit actual information to HMRC or connect to any bank feeds, but you can use them to demo how FreeAgent works.
     
  • You can have any type of FreeAgent account as a demo account.
     
  • If you would like more demo accounts or would like them to be reset with new data, please contact your Account Manager who can help with this.
     
  • If you don’t have any demo accounts on your dashboard yet, or would like demo accounts to be removed, please contact your Account Manager who can help with this.

How to view demo accounts that are already on your dashboard

From the ‘Clients’ area of your Practice Dashboard, select ‘Demo clients’ from the ‘All statuses’ drop-down menu to filter by demo accounts.

Next, select the ‘Switch to’ button to access the relevant demo account.

Using demo accounts to access the FreeAgent mobile app

Once switched into the demo account, you can add yourself as a user.

You can then download the FreeAgent mobile app and log in to it using your user profile credentials. This will allow you to see all the functionality that the mobile app offers and help clients to manage their business on the go.
