How to enable access to Hiscox small business insurance for your clients
This article explains how to enable access to small business insurance from Hiscox in FreeAgent for your clients from your Practice Dashboard.
FreeAgent has partnered with Hiscox to provide insurance designed especially for small businesses. If your client has a FreeAgent account funded by NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Ulster Bank NI or Mettle, they’ll already have access to small business insurance from Hiscox via their FreeAgent account.
Please note that it’s currently not possible to link an existing Hiscox insurance policy to a FreeAgent account. Only the policy documents for Hiscox insurance arranged via FreeAgent can be displayed within your client’s FreeAgent account.
If you’re a senior account manager, you can enable access to small business insurance from Hiscox for your UK-based clients from your Practice Dashboard. Please note that Hiscox small business insurance won't be available for your clients that have an unincorporated landlord account.
To do this, log in to your Practice Dashboard, select ‘Settings’ from the drop-down menu in the top-right and then choose ‘Client Communication Preferences‘.
Tick the checkbox next to ‘Hiscox Business Insurance‘ in the ‘Partner products or services’ section.
Tick the checkbox to confirm that you’re sufficiently senior to enable commercial communications to your clients and that your practice’s policies allow for your clients to be marketed to for the selected service.
Select ‘Save changes’ to complete the process. Your clients will receive an email with information about small business insurance from Hiscox and can then follow the steps to obtain a quote and purchase small business insurance.
