Add a price list item to an invoice or estimate

This article explains how to add a price list item that you’ve created to an invoice or estimate in FreeAgent.

If you often invoice your customers for the same product or service, you can add a price list item to an invoice or estimate, to save you having to manually enter that item each time.

Adding a price list item to an invoice

Navigate to the ‘Work’ tab at the top of the screen and select ‘Invoicing’ from the drop-down menu.

Select 'Add new invoice' in the top-right and follow the steps for creating an invoice in FreeAgent.

When adding a line item to the invoice, select ‘Autofill from your price list’ and choose the relevant price list item from the drop-down menu.

Once you’ve selected the relevant price list item, select ‘Create and finish’ to add it to the invoice. If you need to add additional price list items to the invoice, select 'Create and add another'. If you no longer want to add this price list item to the invoice, select ‘Cancel’.

Adding a price list item to an estimate

Navigate to the 'Work' tab at the top of the screen and select 'Estimates' from the drop down menu.

Select 'Add New Estimate' in the top-right and follow the steps for creating an estimate in FreeAgent.

When adding a line item to the estimate, select ‘Autofill from your price list’ and choose the relevant price list item from the drop-down menu.

Once you’ve selected the relevant price list item, select ‘Create and Finish’ to add it to the estimate. If you need to add additional price list items to the estimate, select 'Create and Add Another'. If you no longer want to add this price list item to the estimate, select ‘Cancel’.

If you need to make changes to the line item, select ‘Edit’ to right of the line item or select the cross to remove the line item from the estimate.
