Delete a file

This article explains how to delete a file from the Files and Smart Capture areas in FreeAgent.

To edit the name and privacy status of a file, find out how to edit a file.

Deleting a regular file

Navigate to the drop-down menu at the top-right of the screen and select 'Files’.

This will bring up a list of your regular files.

You can delete a regular file from the Files area by selecting the three dots to the right of the file and selecting 'Delete file' from the drop-down menu.

Select 'OK' in the pop-up window to complete the process.

Deleting a Smart Capture file

Navigate to the drop-down menu at the top-right of the screen and select 'Smart Capture’.

The Smart Capture area will contain files which have had the date and amount automatically extracted by FreeAgent’s Smart Capture functionality.

You can delete a Smart Capture file from the Smart Capture area by selecting the three dots to the right of the file and selecting 'Delete file' from the drop-down menu.

Select 'OK' in the pop-up window to complete the process.
