Attach image files to a bank transaction
This article explains how to attach saved image files or receipts to a bank transaction.
Please note:
- Attaching an image file to a bank transaction will remove it from the Files area of your FreeAgent account.
- Any file that was marked as ‘private’ will be visible to others on your account once you’ve attached it to a bank transaction.
You can attach new files or saved files to a bank transaction.
Attach new files
When you’re explaining a bank transaction, select 'Upload files' in the ‘Add attachments’ section.
Select the relevant files in the pop-up window and select 'Open'.
You can select up to 10 files to upload at a time, and attach a maximum of 50 files to one bank transaction.
All the files will be listed as individual attachments for the bank transaction.
Select 'Explain transaction' to complete the process.
Attach saved files
When you’re explaining a bank transaction, select 'Choose from saved' in the 'Add attachments' section.
If you’ve used Smart Capture to capture receipts or bills, FreeAgent will try to find matching data from captured files and suggest these options for you to attach.
Select the relevant file in the pop-up window and select 'Attach selected'.
Although you can only select 1 file to attach at a time, you can select the 'Choose from saved' button multiple times in order to attach a maximum of 50 files to one bank transaction.
All the files will be listed as individual attachments for the bank transaction with previews of the files visible.
Select 'Explain transaction' to complete the process.
