FreeAgent has lots of cutting-edge tools designed to make it easier for your customers to pay you and help you get paid faster, enabling you to focus on the parts of your business that really count. Read on to find out how to upgrade and automate your invoicing, save time using our flexible payment integrations and keep an eye on late payers using Radar insights.

Get paid faster by upgrading and automating your invoicing

To get paid faster, you can upgrade your invoicing by setting up new invoice, reminder and thank you email templates, and automatically sending them to your customers.

New invoice emails

Speed up your payment collection process by setting up a new invoice template to quickly populate your invoice emails. Tick the box to include an online payment button to make it easier for your customers to make the payments.

Invoice reminder emails

Get paid faster by setting up an invoice reminder template to encourage your customers to pay their invoices before the payment is due.

You can even set recurring reminders that will continue to chase payments for you if the payment becomes overdue.

Invoice thank you emails

Complete the invoicing upgrade by setting up a thank you email template for paid invoices to let your customers know you appreciate their custom and encourage them to keep coming back.

Automating your invoicing

Speed up your payment collection process by letting FreeAgent automatically send your invoices and chase up your customers on their late payments with reminders.

Once you’ve set up the templates, simply tick the relevant option when creating your invoice or recurring invoice profile.

Save time using our flexible payment integrations

Get paid faster using our flexible payment integrations such as Tyl by NatWest, Stripe, GoCardless or PayPal, to make it easier for your customers to pay for your invoices.

Tyl by NatWest

Connect FreeAgent with Tyl by NatWest to accept debit and credit card payments for your invoices.

Stripe

Connect FreeAgent to Stripe and easily take invoice payments from your customers.

You can also set up a Stripe bank feed to automatically import and reconcile your Stripe transactions into a Stripe bank account in FreeAgent.

GoCardless

Connect FreeAgent to GoCardless and set up a Direct Debit mandate with your customers to automatically take one-off or recurring payments.

You can choose to receive payments on the invoice date, payment due date or when manually triggered, to streamline the payment process. If you have repeat customers, you can create recurring invoice profiles and select the automatic email feature to fully automate the process of sending the invoice and taking the payment.

You can enable the auto-reconciliation feature to automatically reconcile payments for invoices created in FreeAgent and GoCardless charges in your FreeAgent account.

GoCardless has a feature called Success+ which uses AI to automatically retry Direct Debit payments should any of your payment collections fail. It aims to find out when the best time is to attempt a repayment and ensure you get paid without having to retry the payment collection yourself.

You'll also soon be able to take instant payments using GoCardless, which avoids card transaction fees and allows payees to verify their payment via their banking app or online banking, rather than needing to enter card details.

PayPal

Connect FreeAgent to PayPal to access to PayPal’s ‘Buy now Pay in 3’ instalment plan and the ability to accept multi-currency payments. This can make it easier for your customers to pay for your invoices.
