How to log in to the FreeAgent mobile app on an Android device using fingerprint or face recognition

This article explains how to use fingerprint or face recognition to log in to the FreeAgent mobile app on an Android device.

This feature is available for Android 7.0 devices or newer with fingerprint or face recognition capabilities enabled. Please refer to your Android device manufacturer for instructions on how to enable fingerprint or face recognition on your device.

How to activate fingerprint or face recognition in the FreeAgent mobile app

To activate fingerprint or face recognition in the FreeAgent mobile app, navigate to the ‘Settings’ drop-down menu in the top-left corner and select ‘Security’.

Toggle ‘Enable biometric authentication’ to turn the feature on.

A ‘Lock after’ option will then appear. Select how soon you would like the FreeAgent app to lock after you switch to another app or after your screen becomes inactive. The default setting is ‘Immediately’.

How to deactivate fingerprint or face recognition on the FreeAgent mobile app

To deactivate biometric authentication, navigate to the ‘Settings’ menu in the top-left corner of the FreeAgent mobile app and select ‘Security’. Toggle ‘Enable biometric authentication’ to turn the feature off.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll be prompted to enter the email address and password associated with your FreeAgent account whenever you log in to the FreeAgent mobile app.
