How to log in to the FreeAgent mobile app on an iOS device using Touch ID or Face ID
This article explains how to use Touch ID or Face ID to log in to the FreeAgent mobile app on an iOS device.
Before you get started
The option to log in to the FreeAgent mobile app via Touch ID or Face ID is available for any iPhone (iPhone 6 model or newer) or iPad that runs on the iOS 16 operating system or newer. In order to use this feature, you must first enable Touch ID or Face ID on your device before following the steps outlined below.
To maintain the highest levels of security and continue to improve FreeAgent, we’ll be removing support for iOS 15 and below on 3rd June 2024. In order to download and update the FreeAgent mobile app after this date, you’ll need to use a device that supports iOS 16 or newer.
How to activate Touch ID or Face ID in the FreeAgent mobile app
To activate Touch ID or Face ID in the FreeAgent mobile app, tap the three-lined hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner and then select ‘App settings’.
Toggle the ‘Touch ID’ or ‘Face ID’ option.
A prompt will appear to ask if you want to allow FreeAgent to use Touch ID or Face ID. Select ‘OK’.
Select how soon you would like the FreeAgent mobile app to lock after you switch to another app or after your screen becomes inactive, in the 'Lock after' field. The default setting is ‘Immediately’.
How to deactivate Touch ID or Face ID in the FreeAgent mobile app
To deactivate Touch ID or Face ID, tap the three-lined hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner and then select ‘App settings’.
Toggle the Touch ID or Face ID option.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be prompted to enter the email address and password associated with your FreeAgent account whenever you log in to the FreeAgent mobile app.
